Appin Empowerment Foundation
          “It is high time that IITans take the responsibility of social welfare and not just accumulate wealth”, says Anuj Khare, an IIT-D graduate and himself an enthusiastic social worker.
          Due to his love for his country, Anuj returned to his homeland after getting the best of education and experience from US. His burning desire to do something for the poor and backward students of his country made him cultivate the idea of “Appin Empowerment Foundation”- Promoting IT awareness and education in rural areas. A not for profit charitable organization close to Anuj’s heart, this foundation works in the areas of providing technology education and spreading awareness to the rural and financially backward students of the country. Led by dedicated team of idealists who are firm on bringing a change for better, this foundation works in the areas of:

• Technology Education for rural students.
• Technology Empowerment of the farmers.
• Spreading IT awareness in rural areas.

          Anuj firmly believes that only on the bandwagon of technology and education can India enter the big league of the developed nations. Also as “India lives in its villages” according to Mahatma Gandhi, the vitality of rural education and empowerment cannot be neglected.
          In the time when government is already trying hard to foster rural education, Anuj endeavors to contribute his share of social cause with his master plan of a technology village. This brain from IIT-D dreams to nurture a village as a technology education hub and provide necessary support for it both financially and technically.
          Anuj is already working day and night helping students by providing psychological support with his seminars and books. His seminars and books on “Psychology of Success” under Appin Empowerment Solutions have already been a great success amongst the students of the urban areas. However he says that his efforts will pay only the day he receives letter of thanks from backward areas and villages.
